Roasted Seaweed is called Sushi Nori or Yaki Nori in Japanese. Yaki Nori are dried and roasted leaves of algae (seaweed).
Yaki nori is very sweet and mild and is mainly used for preparing sushi. When crumbled the leaves can also serve as excellent herb with a subtle fresh ocean fragrance for fish and seafood dishes.
