Description

Centella Asiatica oil is recommended for nervous disorders, epilepsy, dementia and premature aging. Also, indicated for chronic venous insufficiency, minor burns, scars, scleroderma, skin ulcers, varicose veins, wound healing, rheumatism, blood diseases, congestive heart failure, urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis, high blood pressure. Regarded as one of the most important rejuvenating herbs in Ayurvedic medicine.

It soothes and minimizes varicose veins and helps to minimize scarring. Found effective when applied to patients with third degree burns if treatment is started immediately after the accident. Daily topical application to the affected area with intramuscular injections, limited the contraction of the skin and allowed to heal properly. It is known to prevent infection and inhibit scar formation. It is also useful in the repair of skin and connective tissue and smooth cellulite. The principal active ingredient is saponins which beneficially affect collagen (the material that makes up the connective tissue), which is responsible for maintaining youth but act as enhancers and other connective tissues of the skin.
